Crafted from a full thickness block of mahogany that has been chambered for comfort with a generous slab of flamed maple on top, the EC-1000T has all the growl and resonance typical of mahogany but with the added snap that maple gives. On the electronics side the EC-1000T is the first production guitar to feature the Fishman Fluence Open Core Classic pickups, and with the use of two push pull pots, the EC-1000T can achieve 3 unique tones unique to each pickup. On the neck pickup, Voice 1 offers the coveted vintage P.A.F. tone, Voice 2 is an airy chime, and Voice 3 is a vintage single-coil. For the bridge pickup, Voice 1 is the P.A.F., Voice 2 is the classic hot-rodded humbucker, and Voice 3 is an overwound single coil.
