The Ibanez AEGB24E is a fantastic instrument for someone that wants a powerful acoustic bass sound but in a much smaller package than your average acoustic bass. The AEGB24E is actually constructed to the spec of one of Ibanez’s acoustic guitar bodies and it sports a scale length of 32”, two inches shorter than the average bass guitar, all of which makes it far more comfortable to play than the average acoustic bass. This bass is constructed using a sapele top, back and sides, a three piece nyatoh and maple neck as well as a walnut fretboard and bridge combo all of which give it a nice and neutral tone, with the AEQ-2T preamp ensuring that your playing will be well represented if you wish to play this through an amp.
