The power of the two Zebra Coil Humbuckers comes from the removal of the pickup covers that a lot of owners of vintage Les Pauls use to modify, in order for a better bass response and magnetic pull, by revealing the black and white bobbins underneath. Having a higher output than vintage alnico magnet pickups, ceramic pickups provide a tight low end response with a smooth midrange and more pronounced top end tone.
