The Band of Gypsys Fuzz is a pedal that was designed to replicate a Fuzz Face Distortion that sounded unlike any other Fuzz Face in Jimi’s collection, far more aggressive in sound than any of the other ones. Unfortunately the original pedal has been lost to time however Dunlop’s engineers spent a lot of time working on this one and comparing the sound against recordings that the classic one was used on. This pedal comes in a mini-housing making it much easier to squeeze onto a pedalboard than the original puck-style housing.
